How do I import an online credit report?

ImportOnline

The Credit Report Import Tool is one of our greatest features.

Before you get started on this, please keep this in mind…

Importing the credit report can be “challenging” the very first time you do it because there are specific tools you’ll need and very specific steps to follow — and those steps all happen “outside” of our software in another company’s site.

But don’t worry…it does work, if you take it slow — and if you need help just ask. We are here for you!  🙂

**Just remember, this is technical, it requires certain tools (all free), certain steps (watch the videos) and it will take some practice.  If you’re new to Credit Repair Cloud and have difficulty with importing reports, just click here to schedule a phone session so we can help you personally.  We are here to help.

First, have your client order their own credit reports (for $1) and share their login details with you.

Yes, it’s that simple.  I know you’re thinking “Can’t I just order the reports for my client?” Unfortunately, the answer is no no no!  These are consumer services only. There are privacy issues.  So please have your client signup themselves, pay the $1 for the free trial and share the login details. Then, let the client decide if they want to keep the monthly credit monitoring service or not.

Be sure to remind your client that they only way they can see their new scores each month is to pay for a credit monitoring service. It’s a necessary part of the credit repair process.

Credit Repair Cloud will import online credit reports from these certain providers. But if you are doing this for the first time, it will be easiest with PrivacyGuard.com

These 3 have right-click disabled, so you’ll need Google Chrome with a right click extension.

  • PrivacyGuard.com (this one always works best)
  • IdentitySecure.com
  • enhanced.wellsfargoprotection.com(not recommended)

These 4 providers don’t need any special software for importing to Credit Repair Cloud

  • FreeScore.com
  • FreeScore360.com
  • Scoresense.com(not recommended)

*Also please remember that we have no affiliation to any of these report providers. We’re just letting you know what works best.

Can Credit Repair Cloud import from a PDF of a Credit Report?

No, this is not possible.  That’s why you’ll want your client to signup for an “online” report from one of these 6 providers. However, if you have a client that does have a PDF report (and doesn’t want to spend $1 for online reports) you can  also add the items from the PDF manually. Click here to see how that can work.

What does an online report cost my client?

Most credit monitoring companies charge $1 for a trial with instant access to all 3 reports and scores — and that’s a real bargain!  Be sure to remind your client to cancel the free trial if ongoing credit monitoring is not wanted. However, credit monitoring is an awesome tool during credit repair to monitor the reports and scores over time. Just sayin’.

Now lets Import an Online Credit Report!

Log into your client’s dashboard, click on IMPORT ONLINE CREDIT REPORTS and then follow the steps in the page.  You must use the newest version of Google Chrome and the Enable Right-Click Extension for Chrome or it will not work.

Importing a Credit Report can be frustrating!

  • The difficult part happens on another company’s site (not ours).
  • Viewing/copying source code requires advanced computer skills.
  • Just take it slow and practice with your Sample Client and Sample Report and watch the videos.

Common issues:

**Please note: “View Frame Source” is the right click option you’ll choose for most of the report providers (including Privacy Guard), however, if “Show Frame Source” is not there as an option, that would mean you’re in a report that dons have frames, and instead you’ll choose “View Page Source.”

**Again remember: Importing a credit report is technical: it requires certain tools (all free), certain steps (watch the videos) and it will take some practice.  If you’re new to Credit Repair Cloud and have difficulty with importing reports, just click here to schedule a phone session so we can help you personally.  We are here to help.

What if your client gives you a report that isn’t one of these listed?  Don’t worry! Watch the 2nd video below.

Here are two video guides that show step by step how to import a credit report. This will be 5 minutes well spent!

Once you import, tag and save the items, you’ll be able to run the Dispute Wizard 3 to create your letters.

Adding items manually (like from a PDF)

It’s important to remember that reports can only be imported from the providers listed on that page.  If your client has a different type of credit report (or a PDF) you can also import the items manually in Wizard 3:

How do I update a client’s report? Should I re-import a new credit report after changes happen?

If you’re using the import tool, you’ll want to import fresh new credit reports each time you start work with a new client, but importing a second time for the same client is not necessary and will cause extra work. Also, if you were to import again for the same client, you must always use the same provider. Otherwise you’ll have duplicate items.

A few weeks (or a month) later, the bureaus will send your client a letter notifying them if items have changed status. Be sure to have clients forward all these letters to you. At that point you “could” import again, but it’s easier and faster to visit the “Dispute Items” page and just click on the items that changed. This will update all the records in the software and the client portal.
